DESCRIPTION:Get ready to get muddy! \nHKYFS is thrilled to bring back one of our community’s favorite events—Kids Run Amuck! This exciting\, kids mud run is all about promoting physical activity in the most entertaining way possible. Kids can choose on the course if they want it to be shorter or longer\, and will be sent out in waves by age group to ensure a safe and fun experience for all. Obstacles include: Mud crawl\, spider web\, fence climb\, bucket carry\, slip and slide and more… \nRegistration opens at 12:00 PM \nFirst waves start at 1:00 PM\, beginning with our youngest runners. \n$15/participant \nPrice Increases ONE WEEK before the race ($20) \nA water station will be available on the course \nWhile you wait\, enjoy music\, lawn games\, a muddy post race photo booth\, snacks\, and cheer on our awesome racers as they run\, climb\, crawl\, and splash their way through the course. Plus every child will receive a medal at the finish line! \nSpecial thanks to the Blaschke Family for their sponsorship and the Killingworth Women’s Organization\, The Bread Girl\, Mike’s Auto\, and New Image Auto for their partnership and donation! \nPlease note: YOUR KIDS WILL GET WET AND DIRTY!\nWe highly recommend wearing clothes and shoes that can get messy\, and bringing a change of clothes and towels to help keep your car clean for the ride home. There will be a rinse-off area available before heading out. \nEvent will happen rain or shine

This\nconcert is “Songs from Stage and Screen” with music from Broadway\, opera\, movies\, and TV\, along with\nfascinating stories behind the music. \nSynergismus is the premier violin-cello duo of Southern Connecticut. Its members\, Millie and Randy\nCalistri-Yeh\, live in Killingworth and have been playing together for over 30 years in New York\, New\nJersey\, and Connecticut. \nMillie Calistri-Yeh is first violinist in the Connecticut Symphony Orchestra and the Farmington Valley\nSymphony Orchestra (CT). She was previously first violinist in the Livingston Symphony Orchestra (NJ)\nand Penfield Symphony Orchestra (NY)\, and assistant concertmaster of the Finger Lakes Symphony\nOrchestra (NY). She studied violin at the Eastman School of Music under Stanley Chepaitis and Oliver\nSteiner. \nRandy Calistri-Yeh is assistant principal cellist of the Connecticut Symphony Orchestra and the Farmington\nValley Symphony Orchestra (CT). DESCRIPTION:The Killingworth and Haddam Lions are honored to be hosting the US Coast Guard Concert Band for a free performance on Sunday\, July 26th at 5:00 PM at the Parmelee Farm pavilion in Killingworth. Come early to set-up your lawn chairs and baskets at the picnic area on the south side of the pavilion. Everyone is welcome from our local community and our family and friends from neighboring towns. Parking will be limited at the front of the farm\, however ample parking is available at the adjacent HK Middle School a short walk to the pavilion. Handicap assistance will be available. Parmelee Farm is located at 465 Route 81 in Killingworth.
