DESCRIPTION:The Killingworth & Haddam Lions are hosting its 3rd Annual Free US Coast Guard Band Concert preforming at the Parmelee Farm Pavilion on Sunday\, July 30th starting promptly at 5:00PM. Suggest coming early to set-up your lawn chairs on the picnic area on the south side of the Pavilion. The band members are extremely talented and the Lions are honored to have them perform here in Killingworth. Everyone is welcome from the local community and our friends from neighboring towns. Bring your picnic baskets and enjoy patriotic favorites\, virtuosic concert band classics and swinging Dixieland Jazz. Parking will be limited at the front of the Farm\, however the adjacent HK Middle School Parking Lot is recommended.

DESCRIPTION:Come dance the night away with the members of KVFC!\n\n\nKillingworth Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to be celebrating our 75th anniversary of service to the community. To honor our volunteers and all their hard work over the years we have decided to bring back the Fireman’s Ball. On September 17th\, 2022\, we will be hosting KVFC’s 75th Anniversary ball from 5pm-10pm. This event will be located at Parmelee Farm in Killingworth. Tickets will be going sale effective immediately. Tickets will be $25 cash per ticket and a ticket is required for entry. We will not be selling tickets at the door. Tickets will also have a tear off stub that we will use as a raffle ticket entry. There is limited parking at Parmelee farm – first come first serve. Overflow parking will be at Haddam Killingworth Middle School which has a well-lit walking path to Parmelee farm. This is a Semi-formal event. We have hired GrooveTime Band to perform for the event and we will provide light fare. This a BYOB – adult event!! We encourage you to bring snacks as well as your favorite drinks. We will have tables and chairs under a tent for your convenience but feel free to bring a lawn chair or blankets if you just want chill in the grass and enjoy the music! We do ask that if you do not plan on attending\, please do not purchase a ticket because ticket numbers are limited!
